Basketball, as well as other college sports, has multiple divisions, the most competitive being Division I. Normally, the athletes that play in DI are offered a scholarship for their contribution to the team. DI players are usually recruited and observed since the ninth grade. DII, however, is more flexible. Some players in Division II have been walk-ons, who could then be offered scholarships for their athletic accomplishments.
Basketball
Baseball scholarships are barely full-ride since the coaches tend to divide scholarships as much as they can. This happens because baseball is an equivalency sport, where coaches are given the chance to spread the available scholarship money among players.
